Cafe Mexicano
This is a very delicious drink I discovered through some play and improvisation. I found plenty of recipes out there for Café Mexicano, but could not find one I really liked. It can be made with our without alcohol depending on your preference. How you serve this recipe will give you an indulgent morning brew or a delicious adult beverage to serve with dessert… you choose!

Servings 8
Ingredients
- 8 cups water
- 1/3 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/2 oz. Cocoa powder
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 stick cinnamon broken in half
- 8 scoops whole bean coffee French press grind
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup brandy optional
- 8 tbsp. coffee liqueur optional
- Half & Half optional
Instructions

Bring water to a boil, add brown sugar, chocolate, cloves, and cinnamon; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Pour the sugar and spice mixture into French press and top with coffee and vanilla. Steep for 5 minutes, and then press.

Serve hot, add the Brandy, coffee liqueur, and half & half if desired.
