Magickal Cleansings for the Shower
Much like bathtubs, showers are also effective in performing Magickal, spiritual, and energetic cleansing. It’s all about making small adjustments and rethinking the process.
What to do when you have no bathtub?
Performing cleansing ritual in the bathtub is a great way to cleanse and recharge your Magickal batteries. BUT… what do you do when you have no bathtub? There has to be a way to perform similar water rituals without the use of a basin and tub, right?
Absolutely! You don’t need a tub to perform basic water cleansing rituals. Water in itself is very cleansing. When you meld water with other ingredients, like mineral, you are only increasing this cleansing effect. Here are some specifics of how you can perform a cleansing ritual in the shower instead of a tub.
1. Salt!
This is my #1 go-to ingredient for shower cleansing rituals. Salt and water are classic when it comes to cleansing ourselves and objects. Use a salt scrub in the shower as an excellent way to cleanse your Magickal/spiritual energy.
2. Herbal scrubs!
Like using herbs to create a tea bath, scrubs are a fast and easy way to perform a necessary spiritual task. There is an added benefit, you will have soft glowing skin as a result. Go to your cupboard in the kitchen, where you keep all your dried herbs and use up some of those aging herbs.
3. Juice.
Wait. what? I know it sounds strange, but there are many foods you can juice to gain their Magickal and cleansing properties. Juicing fruit like Lemons and Cucumbers helps you create a great shower rinse for cleansing your Magickal energies.
4. Vinegar.
We use vinegar to clean our sinks, coffee pots and more… Why not use it as a cleansing vinegar rinse in the shower?
5. Just breathe…
Take some time and just stand under the flowing water. Breathe deeply in and out. Allow the water to flow over you as it takes away all the negativity and the struggles you have been facing. It is that simple when we remember that water, in itself is Magickal.
6. Mix it up!
Now that you have some ideas in your head, it’s time to experiment and find your own unique cleansing rituals. Try combining salt and lemon, or herbs and salt for your next cleansing ritual in the shower.
When you rethink the process, showers are just as effective as bathing in the tub. Try one tonight or tomorrow morning.

Rosewater rinse is a good cleansing. Not the rose petals mind you, but the young straight shoots of the rose Bush. Just boil a gallon tea of it. Then por over yourself. Maybe a cup a day. To rinse off negatives.
can you use scented bath salts? (like coconut) and what do you have to do to make this a “ritual” rather than just a weekly cleaning?
Sure you can use any kind of salt. I would just be conscious of how they are scented. Natural is always better.
I’m not much of a shower girl. I love a ritual bath with salts and crystals and pure rose essential oil. My dreams become sweet, I feel protected and goodness just starts flowing in for me.
