When the Trees See You
There are days when the weight of the world presses so hard against my chest that I forget how to breathe.
When my mind becomes tangled in doubt, when I feel small, unseen, unworthy - it is then that I find myself walking into the woods.
The trees never ask me to explain.
They never question if I’m too much or not enough.
They do not measure my worth by productivity, by beauty, or by how well I keep it all together.
They simply are.
And in their presence, I remember that I am too.
The forest waits, breathing slow and deep,
its heart beating in roots beneath my feet.
Branches stretch like arms of an old friend,
never asking, only offering.
I press my palm against the bark,
and it is as though the Earth exhales—
A river of stillness pouring into my bones.
“Come back,” the trees whisper.
“Come back to yourself.”
In their silence, I am seen.
In their shadows, I am safe.
In their ancient reaching, I remember:
I am not lost.
I am rooted.
I am alive.
🌱 The Science of Why Nature Heals Us
What I feel in the forest is not just spiritual, it’s biological. Modern science has begun to confirm what witches, mystics, and animists have always known: nature restores us.
Our Brains on Nature: Neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart explains that time in nature regulates stress hormones and rewires the brain toward clarity, creativity, and resilience. Even 20 minutes outdoors can measurably reduce cortisol levels.
The Body Keeps Score: Trauma researcher Bessel van der Kolk notes that embodied healing often begins outside of words. Walking among trees, breathing fresh air, or touching the earth restores a felt sense of safety in the body, something trauma often steals.
The Trees as Teachers: Peter Wohlleben, in The Hidden Life of Trees, shows us that forests are vast, interconnected communities. When we step into the woods, we’re not entering emptiness; we’re entering a relationship. The trees truly are reaching us, in ways both energetic and measurable.
Our Health Outdoors: Journalist Florence Williams, in The Nature Fix, reports that immersion in natural environments lowers blood pressure, boosts immune function, and even improves memory. Countries like Japan prescribe shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) as preventive medicine.
And yet here’s the heartbreaking truth: studies suggest human connection with nature has decreased by over 60% in the modern era. Screens, urbanization, and the rush of productivity culture have pulled us indoors, cutting us off from what our bodies and spirits are designed to thrive on. The cost is measurable: rising anxiety, burnout, depression, and a deep sense of disconnection.
No wonder so many of us feel unmoored.
🌕 The Story Woven In
Every time I step into the forest, especially when life feels unbearable, I feel this same miracle.
The trees do not turn away when I crumble.
They meet me where I am.
They hold me without condition.
They remind me that I am part of something vast and holy, something breathing, something alive.
And here is the truth: you can feel this too.
Nature will meet you, whether in a patch of weeds breaking through the sidewalk, in the curl of steam from your tea, or in the wild green pulse of the woods. The spirits of the land, the plants, the unseen ones… the wild spirits are waiting to guide you home.
🌿 Your Invitation
This is why I created The Witch’s Grove.
It’s a 6-week journey into the living world, where we remember how to listen to the voices of plant spirits, animal messengers, and the wild beings of Earth.
This isn’t just about ritual or theory.
It’s about belonging.
It’s about finding your way back to balance when you feel lost.
It’s about discovering that you were never alone.
The trees already see you.
The wild spirits already know you.
Now it’s time to deepen that connection, so you can thrive in your daily life, rooted, whole, and free.

The Rebel Mystic Witchcraft Skill Trees
Each Skill Tree is a self-contained learning path made up of four intentional branches. Together, they give you a strong foundation — enough to speak the language of practice, work with it safely, and decide where you wish to go next. Our skill trees give you a foundation for successful personal practice.
The Rebel Mystic Coven is more than an online community — it’s a living, breathing sanctuary for Witches & Mystics.
We gather twice each month to learn, practice, and celebrate the rhythm of the seasons and the cycles within ourselves.
This is your space to belong.
To be seen.
To grow wild and wise in good company.
With rooted reverence,
